The Impact
Focuses on gratitude and miracles of religious freedom. Connects the Hanukkah story to the Pilgrim story and highlights the individual immigrant story of so many Jewish American families who came to America to escape religious persecution.
Celebrates the protection of religious freedom in America as our basic 1st amendment right and one we give special thanks for on this day at this time.
Reinforces the cultural connection between Thanksgiving and Hanukkah of family gatherings, eating delicious foods from both traditions, and rededicating ourselves to building community.
Shalom Rav.
What Will You Do with the Money?
In line with our t-shirts and Notecards sold on Moderntribe.com, 10% of the proceeds of the festival goes to Mazon, a Jewish Response to Hunger with the rest of it going to fund theatre programming for at risk kids at The Pico Union Project.
