The Jewish Innovation
The start-up nation known for its technological advances is getting ready to show off its creative side. We are creating an online marketplace which will allow Israeli artists to sell their handmade products to a pro-Israel audience. People from across the world will have the opportunity to buy beautiful products ranging from Judaica to handmade jewellery while supporting Israeli creativity and talent.
I had the idea for this project whilst visiting some communities in Northern Israel and around the same time I was trying to find some nice things for our cozy (i.e. tiny) apartment. After talking to various artists, it struck me how hard it is to sell handmade things, especially if you do not live in the center of Israel. This platform will give artists the chance to reach an international audience, and sell their amazing and inspiring creations from the land of Israel.
The Impact
This initiative is very important because at times it is a struggle for people in Israel to support themselves especially if they live in peripheral areas such as the south or the north. Many times these people are forgotten except when they come under fire, so it’s important that we show support all the time and continue to help their creativity flourish in this small country. Additionally we will showcase many different cultures, whether it be Ethiopian, American or Russian ,uniting the vast amount of talent found in Israel. To be part of this initiative you can donate funds and spread the word on social media, and help us find amazing artists who live anywhere in Israel but especially in outlying areas.
What Will You Do with the Money?
Your Donation is extremely important to us as it will be used for :
a) The cost of advanced customization/programming for the website.
b) The cost of additional graphics for the site.
c) Setting up a site in Hebrew in order for Israeli artists to be able to properly upload their products and feel comfortable using the website.
d) Various marketing and promotional purposes that will drive traffic to the site and boost sales.
