For many Orthodox Jewish young women, a year of seminary in Eretz Yisrael is not simply a continuation of schooling – it is a transformative, formative year that shapes identity, faith, independence, a love for Eretz Yisrael, and a lifelong connection to Torah.

This year is often the first time a young woman steps into true independence — living away from home, managing her own schedule, choosing how deeply she wants to grow. At the same time, she is immersed in high-level Torah learning, meaningful mentorship, and a vibrant community of peers who are also striving for growth.

For girls who may have experienced high school as stifling, limiting, or simply not reflective of their potential, seminary in Eretz Yisrael can be especially life-changing. In a new environment, steeped in spirituality and depth, they are given space to rediscover themselves — not as students defined by grades or pressure — but as young Jewish women rooted in purpose, connection, and strength.

There is something profoundly different about learning Torah in our homeland — in the land where our history unfolded, where our tefillos are directed, and where generations dreamed of returning. The air, the language, the rhythm of life — all reinforce that Torah is not theoretical, but a reality.

And perhaps most importantly, this year often becomes the quiet turning point in a young woman’s life. It is where doubts soften into clarity. Where pressure gives way to confidence. Where learning becomes personal and real. It is where a girl begins to see herself not just as someone’s daughter or someone’s student — but as a builder of the next generation of Klal Yisrael. The impact of that internal shift cannot be measured in transcripts or report cards — but it shapes marriages, homes, children, and decades of Jewish continuity.

A year in Eretz Yisrael:

Deepens love of Torah
Solidifies a connection to our homeland
Strengthens Jewish identity
Builds confidence and independence
Shapes the kind of homes and families these young women will one day build

Yet the cost of this pivotal year — often $30,000 or more — places a significant financial burden on families. For some, it creates real barriers to access.

The Seminary Scholarship Initiative was created to help alleviate that burden. Our goal is to provide meaningful financial support to young women who seek to spend this transformative year in Eretz Yisrael, but are constrained by tuition costs.

This initiative is not simply about funding a year of study. It is about investing in the spiritual future of our daughters, in the strength of our community, and in the enduring bond between our people and Eretz Yisrael.

When we support a girl’s year in Eretz Yisrael, we are investing in decades of impact — in her growth, her home, her future family, and her connection to Torah and Eretz Yisrael.

Thank you for being part of that investment.
