This is my daughter Shayna. She is a sensitive, creative, deeply feeling soul who has been going through an extremely painful, vulnerable, and very difficult chapter in her life. She has had no stable place to live and has been trying to survive the harshness of being homeless and living on the streets.
Over the past two years, Shayna experienced a series of devastating losses. She was a victim of identity theft—her passports and IDs were stolen, and her bank accounts were wiped out. She lost her job while recovering from foot surgery. Her car was impounded after a friend borrowed it and parked it illegally, and she couldn’t afford to retrieve it. Then, after being promised stability, she was evicted—and everything she owned was discarded, leaving her with nothing and nowhere to go.
The trauma Shayna has endured has left her struggling with severe anxiety, neurodivergent challenges, ADD, and PTSD. Because of her situation, she is currently unable to manage the stress and overstimulation of shelters or shared living environments. What she needs most right now is a safe, private space to begin stabilizing and rebuilding her life.
I have done everything I can to help Shayna. I live on just enough to cover my rent and basic expenses, and I’ve pushed beyond that—finding ways to pay for occasional hotel stays and other urgent needs when I could. But I’ve reached my limit. I cannot do this alone, and it breaks my heart every day knowing she is still homeless. All I want is for her to have safety, warmth, and dignity again.
I am raising funds to help purchase a small, used camper van or small motorhome so Shayna can have a place of her own — a bed to sleep in, a lock on the door, a way to stay warm, and a little space where she can breathe and begin to heal, a way to regain a bit of stability and dignity, and start to gain her life back.
The goal of $15000 will help cover:
- A used camper van or comparable small motorhome
- Registration, basic repairs, and necessary fees
- Insurance
- Gas and essentials for the first few months
- A small cushion so she can begin stabilizing

This is not just a vehicle. It is safety. It is privacy. It is stability. It is a gentle first step toward rebuilding.
