The Jewish Innovation

SEE UPDATE – WE ARE FULLY FUNDED! Sarah Weil, a full time Masters student at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, is the founder of Jerusalem’s Women’s Gathering – a series of monthly meetups for Jerusalem’s Lesbian community and their friends. The grassroots, volunteer driven Women’s Gathering has become a fixture of Jerusalem’s burgeoning LGBTQ scene – so much so that Sarah has been chosen as “one of today’s next generation of emerging and established Jewish LGBTQ … influencers from around the world.” As such Sarah was invited to participate in the Schusterman Foundation’s 18:22 Connection Point in Austria from the 11-13 August 2015. This campaign allows you to contribute to making Jerusalem more open, accepting and friendly to all!

The Impact

Besides being a tireless activist, Sarah’s is a strong and powerful voice challenging established perspectives regarding LGBTQ issues in the Jewish world and Jewish issues in the LGBTQ world. Sarah’s participation in this conference is sure to benefit Jerusalem, making it a more open and accepting city. Help create an international network of change-makers who are making a difference in global Jewish communities, and also, to be a first-of-its-kind model for LGBTQ inclusion for other faith groups and distinct cultural traditions.

What Will You Do with the Money?

The money will be used to help send Sarah to the 18:22 conference which means that what you are contributing to is a better Jerusalem, the creation of a safe and open community, and love and understanding!
