Help us create a bright new Jewish Year for Israeli families teetering on the brink of falling permanently into the vicious cycle of poverty. Partner with International Young Israel Movement’s Israel Empowerment Center (IEC)  and cast a lifeline out to these families.

There are hundreds of families in Israel that are trapped in financial and emotional distress.  The current resources that exist for such families are restricted to  temporary solutions, such as food packages or budget counseling, and the core problems are not addressed.

The IEC approaches poverty very differently, operating via a sustainable method with a focus on relationship-building and full support of all family members across financial, emotional, physical and other spheres. This can include family or marriage counseling, school tutors, employment training courses, addiction rehabilitation, job retraining and psychological or psychiatric care in addition to budget counselors and other guidance based on the individual need of each family.

For the New Year, partner with us as we seek to rehabilitate families trapped in a cycle of distress, and help eradicate poverty in Israel at its root!

The International Young Israel Movement (IYIM) – Israel works with Jews in Israel across the socio-economic and religio-ethnic spectrum with a focus on Jewish heritage and Jewish identity. Headquartered in Jerusalem, IYIM focuses particularly on populations that fall between the cracks, those whose needs may be overlooked by other organizations and governmental efforts. IYIM focuses on providing unique programming and support for these populations, which include Deaf youth, Agunot and divorce-refusal victims, at-risk youth within Sderot, families who are victims of the cycle of poverty, and others. IYIM aims to support and empower its participants to strengthen their personal identity, Jewish identity, family unit and contribution to Israeli society. These efforts are carried out by IYIM in the spirit of love and respect for one’s fellow Jew; love of one’s Land and country; respect for Jewish tradition and acknowledgement of Jewish history, all with the underlying spirit of Ahavat Yisrael and Torah Yisrael.
