Mitzvah Keeper Mission
Our mission is to teach and educate people on performing mitzvot to make our world a better place. How does one track their good deeds and actions for each day? Mitzvah Keeper is the answer.
The monies raised will be used to cover the cost of operations and development for both the community and pro editions of this new educational software platform. We have gone through the different prototyping and testing phases and are in need of additional funds to release this application for public use.
A little about the software and its features:
Mitzvah Keeper is available in two editions. Community and Pro. The community edition is and will continue to be free for all. The community edition is a lightweight basic tracker of mitzvot. The Pro edition is composed of four modules: Track Mitzvah, Biblical Mitzvot, Manage Mitzvot, and Jewish Calendar. Both editions will be available on iOS, Android and Web platforms.
The application allows the user to track their Mitzvahs which they perform each day. It allows easy entry. The Pro edition adds the ability to customize Mitzvahs if the supplied database of mitzvot does not contain a Mitzvah that has been performed. Advanced reporting and graphing is included as well as seeing your mitzvahs on a map based on the geolocation.
Biblical Mitzvot provides a database of all 613 Mitvozt that were ascribed to the Jewish people in the Torah. This module is a database of all mitzvot and it is categorized if they are a positive or negative commandments as well as identified as affirmative or negative as enumerated in the Concise Book of Mitzvoth by Chofetz Chaim. There are toggles to allow showing only Positive or Negative commandments. This is a reference only database.
Manage Mitzvot module allows the user to lookup and study each modern day mitzvah in the database. Additionally, any personal mitzvahs which have been added to the system can be edited and/or removed through this module. This allows mitzvah management by the user.
Jewish Calendar provides the current calendar date in the Jewish Calendar, a scrolling list of Jewish Holidays and the ability to search the entire calendar database for any Day of Week, Event or Holiday. This is a reference only database.
About the Developer
Robert Kantor, founder of Mitzvah Keeper. He has 25+ years of technology experience in software engineering and design. He has been pivotal through the prototyping and testing phases. Looking towards bringing the software to full production ready for public use and distribution.
