What is Miklat Israel?
– Miklat Israel is an initiative started and led by three israeli rabbis: Rabbi Susan Silverman, Rabbi Nava Hefetz and Rabbi Tamara Schagas.
– Miklat Israel focuses on seeing each asylum seeker as an individual. These people need to feel some kind of stability during this terrible times.
– Miklat Israel reaches out to israeli families who can “adopt” asylum seekers. Israelis willing to take in asylum seekers into their homes.
– Miklat Israel will accompany the families and asylum seekers during this process and provide volunteered professional help if needed.
