What is Miklat Israel?

Miklat Israel is an initiative started and led by three israeli rabbis: Rabbi Susan Silverman, Rabbi Nava Hefetz and Rabbi Tamara Schagas.
Miklat Israel focuses on seeing each asylum seeker as an individual. These people need to feel some kind of stability during this terrible times.
Miklat Israel reaches out to israeli families who can “adopt” asylum seekers. Israelis willing to take in asylum seekers into their homes.
Miklat Israel will accompany the families and asylum seekers during this process and provide volunteered professional help if needed.
