The Sid Jacobson JCC is proud to be home to the Hammer Baseball Team, a group of talented and dedicated young athletes representing our Long Island community at the JCC Maccabi Games — often called the “Jewish Olympics.” This annual event is the largest organized Jewish youth sports gathering in North America, bringing together thousands of athletes from around the world to celebrate Jewish pride, unity, and perseverance through competition. For our boys, the Maccabi Games are more than a tournament. They are a chance to proudly wear their Jewish identity, build lifelong friendships, and stand shoulder to shoulder with a global community that continues to thrive in the face of adversity. Over the past two years, the Sid Jacobson JCC Hammer Baseball Team has captured back-to-back gold medals and earned a reputation for excellence both on and off the field.
