How Innovation and Dedication Save Lives Faster
When it comes to saving lives, every second counts. That’s why we believe training and preparation are key for saving lives. In the event of a medical emergency, ambulances can sometimes take longer than needed for first response. That’s why we’ve created the Individual Trauma Aid Kit (ITAK). This kit contains everything a medic will need to treat trauma in the first critical moments until ambulances arrive. Mounted on a thigh rig, this kit allows medics to access their life saving equipment with comfort and ease. The separate internal compartments and full-zip closure make this kit simple and efficient.
The Individual Trauma Aid Kit includes:
-Thigh mounted leg rig
-Combat Application Tourniquet (CAT)
-Stick light
-Emergency burn dressings
-Hemostatic bandages
-Trauma gloves
-Emergency trauma bandages
-Trauma shears
-And more…
Because Every Second Counts
Just recently, one of our medics was called to a medical emergency in a rural region of the country. He arrived almost twenty minutes before the ambulance could get to the hard to reach location. Because our medic was equipped with our ITAK, he was able to help save a one-year-old-girl from second degree burns.
“In my 10 years in the field, I’ve never ever had a kit that was so small, yet had exactly what we need. It’s the perfect trauma kit.”
–Shaul Levine, Rescuers Without Borders Medic, Shiloh
Who we are
Rescuers Without Borders is an Israeli volunteer organization with a network of over 600 medics, paramedics, and doctors who are committed to saving lives. Our organization was founded in 2000 in response to the second intifada terror attacks which created a sharp increase in the need for professional emergency medical response. With a wave of terror and a shortage of local emergency response teams, Rescuers Without Borders was born (originally Hatzalah Yehuda & Shomron).
We work to provide support, equipment and training to medical emergency volunteers in areas with the greatest need.
Working Together to Save Lives
Working in the field requires teamwork. Only by working together, can we save more lives. Rescuers Without Borders is proud to work in full partnership and cooperation with Magen David Adom, the IDF, the Fire Dept., regional security councils, One Israel Fund, and My Brother’s Keeper.
We are registered as a non-profit organization in Israel and the United States with 501(c)(3) status and rated Platinum on our Guidestar profile.
How You Can Help
Our emergency responder who used this kit to save a one year old girl from third degree burns thanked us profusely for providing him with this kit. The emergency call came from a rural neighborhood and he was the first to arrive on the scene. Thanks to the emergency burn dressings in the Individual Trauma Aid Kit, he was able to sustain the burns until the girl reached a hospital. This kit is saving lives. It’s portable, accessible, and contains crucial equipment for every emergency responder.
Hundreds of Emergency Medical Response volunteers along with Israeli Police units and Security personnel are requesting our Individual Trauma Aid Kits. Help us meet their needs in the field!
Each Individual Trauma Aid Kit costs: $300
We aim to supply 600 medics throughout Israel with this innovative life saver.
This means we want to raise $180,000 in order to equip 600 medics throughout Israel with these kits.
