The Jewish Innovation

Doc.Israel. is the first ever Israeli documentary film festival in Sweden. We are going to bring the best docs and most exciting discussions to Stockholm, in order to show Scandinavia what an amazing and colorful country Israel is. If there was anyone who thought Israel is all about religion and soldiers, they’re in for a surprise: we’ve chosen 5 spellbinding movies that tell 5 fascinating Israeli stories about loves, identities, and Middle Eastern challenges. Join our campaign, and help us create the warmest event in the cold Swedish winter!

The Impact

The Swedish Jewish community is small and quiet, but we want to make some noise! The Jewish People have thousands of years of debating behind our backs, and we believe that Jewish values, such as tikkun olam, give us a different perspective on many things. We would love sharing this with Swedes, so that they could also see how many Jewish ideas, identities and different types of commitments there are. And of course we love Israel, and want to spread this love.

What Will You Do with the Money?

Our goal is to raise $2000.
We would like to make Doc.Israel. as exciting and informative as possible, so in addition to screening 5 Israeli documentaries, we are planning to have 2 special guests:
– The director of the movie “The Invisible Men”;
– The director of the Bialik-Rogozin school featured in “Strangers No More”.
Your support would ensure that both of them could take part in the Festival!
Raising $2000 would mean we can pay for the following:
– Flight tickets from Tel Aviv to Stockholm and back: $1000
– Single rooms in a 3 star hotel in Stockholm for 2 nights: $1000.
