Professor Azim Turdiev is fighting for his life and he needs our help.
Professor Azim Turdiev is on the verge of realizing a life long dream of developing a drug that revolutionizes cancer treatment – by keeping cancer patients healthy while getting toxic chemotherapy and radiation therapy (that kill cancer tumors but also endanger patient’s lives).
Recently, it was found that Azim has lung cancer and at his age (78) probably will not survive the chemotherapy and radiation therapy treatments. The American National Cancer Institute estimated in 2016 that approximately 1 out of every 3 women and 1 out of every 2 men will be diagnosed with cancer at some point during their lifetime. Most people diagnosed with cancer will receive chemotherapy and/or radiation therapy or a combination of both. These therapies are toxic. The fact that during past several decades cancer mortality steadily increases worldwide indicates the great need for novel revolutionary approach to cancer supportive care.

As the former Head of the Laboratory of Radiation Biochemistry & Cytology at the Institute of Biochemistry of the Uzbek Academy of Sciences Prof Azim Turdiev, led the research on radiation protection of Cosmonauts in space and carried out an extensive survey of high radiation resistant animals. This led him to identify a tortoise that could survive an irradiation dose a hundred times higher than humans. Prof Turdiev assumed that the tortoise produces specific molecules that in stress conditions activate bone marrow stem cells for a faster renewal, enabling survival and accelerating overall recovery.
In 1999 Azim Turdiev made Aliyah and continued his important work in Israel. His extensive knowledge in the area of radiobiology was published in more than 250 publications and 4 books. He discovered and produced in his laboratory drug candidates with high potential to effectively recover damage caused by radiation and chemotherapy cancer treatments.
