Alumot is a young community of Hebrew speakers in Cambridge. We want our kids to speak, read and write in Hebrew so they’ll understand the Israeli culture. This is where we need your help.
Since Sep 2017 we’ve been meeting every Sunday to teach our children Hebrew. We, as parents, realised that hanging around while this happens, and mingling in Hebrew, is actually better than going to the shops. We understood that a community is what it’s all about. Being together, in our language and celebrating our culture, is the seed of everything.
We are now raising funds that will allow us to grow, and find a stable space to continue with the Hebrew lessons, adult education and to celebrate the Jewish holidays together, in a pluralistic, inclusive way.
