Dear Temple Israel Friends and Family,

We need your help!  The wireless headsets that our congregation has been using for 10 years are failing. Recently, the B’nei Mitzvah headset failed completely, even after recently replacing the earpiece. These units can no longer be repaired and the whole wireless system will have to be replaced, as the battery packs and wireless base units that we have been using are no longer available.

Stefanie has informed us that we still have the use of two headsets, and, for the time being, we can use the Rabbi’s headset for the next two B’nei Mitzvah. With that said, these are also on their last legs and we will probably only be able to use them for another month or two.  This is an immediate need.

In search of a solution, we received a quote for an updated wireless system from Music Masters. This ‘Wireless Refresh’ proposal will replace our existing wireless microphones with a new wireless microphone system that functions exactly like our existing microphones. Specifically, the proposal includes:

·         4 total wireless systems (3 body-pack wireless systems and 1 handheld wireless system)

·         Installation

·         Rechargeable batteries

·         A 4-bay recharging station

The quote came to approximately $6,500.  We realize that this is expensive, but we use our wireless headsets heavily — at least 3 times a week on regular service and Block Family Religious School weeks and up to 4-5 times per week when concerts, speakers, B-nei Mitzvah and other programs are on the calendar.

If we do not replace our wireless headset system, we will be unable to hear the Rabbi’s messages or admire the hard work of our B’nei Mitzvah students. In essence, the wireless headsets are an integral part of everything we do on the Bemah. Without them, our voices will be silenced.

We are appealing to you today to help us raise the money to pay for this Wireless Refresh. Any charitable amount is welcome! A $10.00 gift may seem like a drop in the bucket, but every drop counts! Please contribute now so that our voices on the Bemah can be strong once more.
