Update: B”H so far Chanuka gifts have been distributed to 45 children.
The local toy store is giving us 20% extra and their entire inventory is now 50% off because they are remodeling soon. It comes out that for each $1 donated, $2.40 is going to the kids.

Chanuka is a time of great joy for children who receive all sorts of gifts and presents. However for children from poor families, whose parents can not afford to buy them presents, it is a time of darkness, sadness and embarrassment. Help Yeso Yosef provide Chanuka presents to children from needy families in the Tzfat – Meron area.

B”H last year we were able to distribute gifts to over 95 children, help us make Chanuka a time of joy and light for even more children this year. As usual 100% of donations will be distributed.

How It Works

All the money donated is used to buy gift certificates at a discounted rate at the local Toy Store. We then try to give gift cards to as many kids from poor families as possible. Each card is worth 40 shekel (around $11.15). Our goal B”H is to make as many kids as possible have a very happy and exciting Chanuka this year. Please help us make this goal a reality.

Yesod Yosef was created in 2004 with goal of establishing a Tzedaka fund where 100% of donations made would go directly to poor families. There would be no fundraiser commissions, salaries or administration fees. Every penny donated (other than what is lost in the withdrawal and exchange to shekalim) is distributed. Since its start B”H we have kept the above, all work was done by volunteers and all external expenses were covered by private donors.
