The Salamanca Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving Jewish heritage and building Jewish continuity, while ensuring that those who help grow Jewish life can do so in dignified living conditions. We provide many overlooked basics such as food, furniture, the company of volunteers, and financial aid to Survivors of the Shoah, new immigrants to Israel, and Haredim who have served army commissions in the army, who would otherwise not able to maintain a dignified way of life after choosing to live in, serve, and help grow the State of Israel.

The Salamanca Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving Jewish heritage and building Jewish continuity. Our immediate objectives aim to improve the lives of those still affected by the Shoah in Europe and North Africa. Our vision is focused on a prosperous, Zionist future in Israel, supported by the many immigrants who come committed to serving and helping the country grow. We believe both in investing in these exceptional individuals dedicated to positively participating in Israeli society, as well as acknowledging those who came before, sacrificing so much to help create the Israel we cherish and live in today. The Salamanca Foundation is run by it's founder, Yaniv Salama-Scheer, who has spent the last 15 years covering Israel and wider Middle East for various news outlets, as well as representing philanthropic organizations in their works in Israel and the Jewish World in Europe and North Africa.

  • Shabbat Groceries for a Survivor
    0 claimed

For a fraction of what we usually spend on our own Shabbat meals, a full weeks worth of food can be bought for a Survivor living under the poverty line in Israel.

  • Lone Soldier Living
    0 claimed

The majority of lone soldiers do not have the financial means to pay their living expenses in the time between finishing the army and starting their education or vocations. Please help them start their lives by helping subsidize their living expenses. Your donation will help pay their rent, their food and electric bills, and every now and again, a beer out on the town.
