Hello, my name is David Saturna, and I am reaching out for support in my journey to recover from a traumatic brain injury (TBI). I am 37 years old, and at age 32 I was told I fell through the cracks. I lost more than a decade of my life not knowing what is happening to me. I still don’t know what caused my Traumatic brain injury. I advocate for myself because I don’t have any family support. As well as friends I don’t have.

At 19, my life took a drastic turn when I experienced numerous devastating assaults that resulted in a TBI.
I have faced numerous challenges since the day i was assaulted. I was assaulted by thugs, pushed out of a three-story window, and subjected to repeated attacks by a group of individuals. I watched them all walk free in court. I didnt have any support even when I was young.  I had a psychiatrist who overmedicated me and cut off my treatment when I lost my job and insurance. For five months, I found myself isolated in a dark basement, struggling to cope with the aftermath of my injuries and the medication withdrawl.

The Impact of TBI: TBI has left me Isolated with physical limitations, including trembling hands, and has affected my ability to communicate with others. Iam so alone. These struggles have made it difficult for me to go out and interact with people, affecting my ability to work and support myself financially. Playing video games help me cope.

Fundraiser: I am seeking help to cover the costs of my ongoing medical treatment, therapy, independent living expenses, a computer to help me communicate with others, rent, insurance, and transportation. The financial burden has been overwhelming, and I am unable to handle it alone. Speech therapy is one of the few therapys I need.

Your support can make a significant difference in my life. Any donation, no matter how small, will go a long way in helping me access the necessary medical care, a computer to help me recieve therapy online and communicate with others. Resources to continue my recovery journey.I am truly grateful for any assistance you can provide. Your kindness and generosity will help me regain my independence and improve my quality of life.Thank you for taking the time to read my story and for considering supporting my fundraiser.
Thank you for even reading. Thank you.
