What is a Lone Soldier?
A brave young immigrant who chooses to start his or her life in Israel and enlist in the Israeli Defense Force (IDF). She leaves a family and home behind to protect one that has always been in her heart.
As you can imagine this is a tough journey. The lone soldier is starting anew in a different culture, a new way of living with very few resources. She is paving her new life, forging new grounds and you’re the help she needs along the way. You can welcome a young soldier under your wing and provide her with the funds and resources, being there every step of the way.
How You Can Make a Difference
Your contribution will provide a lone soldier with a future– a continuum of all-encompassing services before, during, and after her time in the IDF. Some services included are workshops, personal and professional advisors throughout her transition and financial aid, emergency services and advocacy and assistance while navigating this new terrain.
In the coming months, 100 lone soldiers will set off on this odyssey. With your contributions, “Wings for Lone Soldiers” can continue providing the services needed as they have been doing for many years.
