Betsy Davis, the Saucy Redhead baker was raised in Alabama. She is a wife, mother and trained at the New School of Cooking, graduating in 2001. What we are creating is not just another new bakery. This is a place to recapture the memories of your childhood…or the tasty one’s you wish you had. The Saucy Redhead Bakery is kosher for contemporary people who appreciate great food. This is:

*a place where you can find delicious baked goods as well as a nice bottle of your choosing.

*you can enjoy great baked goods with a southern twist

*this is a place you will want to come back to… again and again!

Yes, we are Kosher. Not necessarily your Bubbie’s kosher, but rather bodaciously Kosher.

We are Saucy Redhead's Bakery in Austin, Texas. All of us are members, and active in the local Jewish community. Please join us in creating the first Kosher bakery and Dairy Cafe in the Austin community.
TX, USA

The Saucy Redhead Bakery is NOT just another bakery. This is a place to recapture memories and YES, we are Kosher. In fact as southerners we are Bodaciously Kosher. Why Austin? First, my business partner, Michael Swinney is from Austin and has been in operations and real estate for 40 years. Austin has over 25,000 Jews who live in Austin and NO Kosher bakery or dairy cafe. We will be the place you want to go for great baked goods, great dairy foods as well as a nice bottle of your choosing. As Austin is at the cutting edge of food, music and tech our bakery will become a place people will want to come back to again and again.
