Hey there! Thank you for checking out this page.

My name is Efrat Malachi and this is about publishing a poetry book that speaks to the Jewish soul. A companion to turn to when you’re feeling down or deep or happy and want to find that Jewish voice to express it in a most wholesome way.

Every dollar makes a difference and counts towards the entire publishing process (which costs some beautiful bucks). Only with your support will I have the paper and ink to write a new chapter in the Jewish story, literally. Together we can create a more vibrant, diverse culture around many art forms within our community, and this book is the start of that.

Why am I the right person to do this?

Glad you asked. I’ve been writing and creating projects like these ever since I was in diapers. I have an active social media presence, have self-published my own poetry recently, have a unique set of experiences because of my American-Israeli-Yemenite culture, and have been involved in numerous organizations/trips/communities. My skills combined with my broad yet nuanced perspective can truly add to the color wheel of Jewish life. I am passionate about what I do and am known by my friends as one who is super-friendly, fun, and deep which has allowed me to connect to all kinds of personalities that have contributed to my work. This is not a work about me but a work about you and me. There are plenty of Jewish ideas, thoughts, and hearts to get to know and this book is just scratching the surface making way for those voices to rise and be heard as one.

P.S. If you want to see my previous works or contact me for more information, you can email efrat.malachi1@gmail.com

Thank you for joining in this journey with me!

Hello world! I am an aspiring author and current student at Yeshiva University studying English, Media/Communications. I was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York and dream of expanding the Jewish conversation to include a richer talk of creativity. I've been involved in NCSY, YACHAD, Camp HASC, and other incredible organizations. This is why I believe I can express all kinds of Jewish voices with my book since I've had lots of experience and exposure to Jewish social and communal life. So, this me working to do just that!
