We’re participants in Stand With Us Fellowship program, from the Hebrew University in Jerusalem. We see advocating for Israel and improving Israel’s image in the international arena as one of our prime objectives. Our idea is to host “Parley”, a 5-day conference in Israel for parliament assistants from Europe, that provides a unique opportunity for participants to understand the Israeli political system, and see how beautiful this country is. At a time when it may seem as if the warm relationship with Europe is cooling-off, we feel that timing couldn’t be better. The conference will include: lectures, workshops and direct encounters with Israeli contemporaries. We believe that the personal encounters with their Israeli counterparts and Israeli political institutions will create a more positive image for Israel in the minds of these influential opinion makers, and will create a knowledgeable and insightful dialogue.
The Impact
As you’ve probably felt on numerous occasions, Israel finds itself often in a quandary. Many times it faces criticism that does not contain the full complexity of the fragile and delicate situation. Our conference, “Parley”, will allow a knowledgeable and insightful dialogue about Israel and its region. By hosting the sharp minds of the future leaders we have a chance to expose them to a side of Israel that they may have not had the chance to fully look into. By doing so the personal relationships and the enriching experience could give a great boost to Israel’s image in their eyes.

What Will You Do with the Money?
As expected, this unique project requires funding and resources. We’ve been working day and night around the clock in order to ensure the most professional lectures, workshops and direct encounters with Israeli contemporaries. The budget is allocated as follows: transportation (23%), lodging (39%), meals (21%), speakers (6%) and professional content (11%) cost, and our goal amount is 4000$ to cover our expected expenses. With your contribution the parliamentary assistants could make the best of this coming summer, share this campaign with your friends through social media networks. There’s no such thing as too small of a contribution, and hopefully, by joining our team we’ve come closer to turning this great idea into a reality.
