We are a group of students from Tel Aviv University who take part in the StandWithUs Fellowship, an elite public diplomacy and leadership program,and strive to help change negative perceptions about Israel around the world!
In today’s world, international public opinion is shaped through the media-both social, visual and traditional.
What better way to share Israel’s image than through the visual medium of pictures. Instagram, a mobile phone application, is a unique service for people from all over the world to share their impressions and experiences with each other (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Instagram). As students we wish to participate by connecting young influential instagramers from around the world with Israel.
For this project we have selected and invited 10 leading Instagram users for a once-in-a-lifetime journey across Israel. They will be introduced to our small country’s tremendous variety of landscapes, cuisine, and nightlife; as well as its vibrant cultures and diverse communities. The participants will document their experiences using Instagram, and share their unique photos with thousands of followers.
A Picture is worth a Thousand words, and in this case a Thousand LIKES! With “Once in a Lifetime HD,” we intend to take Israel’s image to the next level by using Instagram, the wildly popular photo editing and sharing app.
The Impact
We believe that by bringing Top Instagram users, each one of them with hundreds of thousands of followers, this wonderful and real Israeli image could be spread online and around the world.

The Once in a Lifetime HD Project will use the funds raised on Jewcer to cover the following costs:
Transportation for participants in Israel: $1500
Attractions and national parks entrances: $500
The funds raised on Jewcer will go directly to making this unique initiative happen and to share Israel’s story around the world.
