“Nothing is forever except the Torah” was one of Nathan’s favorite quotes, sometimes followed by, “HaShem has the plan”, and “May we merit the coming of Moshiach, speedily in our time, with singing and dancing, Amen”.
Nathan was a very special man. He was a good man, an observant man, a man to be remembered. He truly believed in HaShem and in the coming of the Moshiach. He lived a Torah life with Torah values. He always greeted you with a smile on his face (and, often – a hug). He was a secret Tzadik, whose amazing life and Chesed has shown those of us who knew him so well, many surprises.
Because “Nothing is forever except the Torah”, our family, our community, our Shul and friends are asking you to commemorate his wonderful life by contributing to a Sefer Torah written in his memory.
We urge everyone in the community to participate in such an auspicious occasion to honor Mr. Nathan Joffe who whole heartedly gave and did for the Tzibur (community), and to fulfill every Jews obligation of writing a Sefer Torah as is stated in the Pasuk “Now! Write This Song For You…” (Deuteronomy 31:19)

My name is Robert Wizenfeld. I've known Nathan Joffe for the last 15 years - as he lived down the block from my parent's house in Beverlywood. It was always such an honor and pleasure to interact with him. I figured the least I can do is start a crowdfunding campaign for the Torah that is being written in his memory. I'm working directly with the Joffe family on this project.
