Please join our efforts toward emergency relief in El Fawwar Camp, where many fathers of young children are unemployed and not all receive authorization to work outside the camp.  The last six months have seen severe health issues related to the infrastructure for drinking water. Such issues as the spread of infectious illnesses are intensified by overcrowding.  Our first commitment is to basic nutritional needs and health care of the children; if we receive funds beyond that amount we would like to implement a well-baby and child medical program including lactation consultant, vaccination counseling and early testing for genetic diseases, which can save countless monetary resources and heartache. As much as possible NVC encourages local groups to work together, so we have begun searching for  grocery stores in this area who might collect baby formula, and are looking in the Jewish settlements nearby for women’s health professionals to liason with young mothers in El-Fawwar. Help us support  mutual indigenous traditions of saving a life,  visiting the sick,  and caring for one’s neighbor and honoring parents.
