Mr. Aaron Günsberger is that kind of person who is unstoppable. When he finds someone is in need, he helps no matter what. And when he saw how Josefov, which has been for centuries Jewish centre of Prague, Czech Republic, slowly fades due to constantly decreasing number of Jewish population living there, he couldn´t stand aside and do nothing about it. He established Czech Jewish non-profit organization Hatikva Josefov Foundation to help revive Jewish spirit in the City of Maharal.
To attract schools, to strenghten Jewish community and most of all show other people living in Prague and the whole Czech Republic, how important was, is and ever shall be Czech Jewish community we need your help to:
- organize 4 festivals of Jewish culture in Josefov in year 2021
(to any person who helps us, we send annual report of what we do and how many people we reach out to) - support the only local kosher restaurant to promote traditional Jewish food
(to any person who helps us, we send one very traditional Ashkenazi recipe from Prague) - develop network of Jewish organizations and businesses in Josefov
(we need to support young Czech Jewish generation to come back and work in Josefov and not to feel like Josefov is a place, which is not Jewish anymore)
Join us in making Josefov Jewish and Alive Again! Hatikva Josefov Foundation is Czech Jewish non-profit organization established to bring back Jewish festivals, food and traditions back to where is belongs – to Josefov. We are the only ones, whose practical aim is to revive Jewish spirit there.
