From 1985 through 2005, I obsessively monitored cable and network TV sources searching for materials of relevance in Jewish education, recording the best. The result is a Video Library of over 6500 listings cross-referenced under 29 subcategories… including Israel, History, Holocaust, Documentaries, Inspirational, Comedy, Series Episodes, TV Specials, Music Videos, News coverage and more.

This Proposal is for j3wtv.com, a website where the best of this “Techno- Torah Library“ will be posted… for viewing and use by educators, families, Clergy, youth leaders, students and individuals. The materials are treasure- trove of incredible, Jewishly- relevant content… and most of them are not available anywhere!

Much of the “heavy lifting” on this project is already complete. In addition to the items listed below, I have prepared a 20- minute “Sampler” of clips from a variety of shows, which I will post at the “ihfootsteps.org” website for funders to preview. I will also make the complete listings of the Techno- Torah  Video Library inventory available online… and will allow for requests and input from funders.

I am a life-long Jewish Educator and Youth Director... a former March of the Living Director and Educator and the President/ Founder of In Humanity's Footsteps, a secular Holocaust- educational Poland Trip program (see ihfootsteps.org). I am also the Founding Director (37 years, still active) of Camp Fiesta, South Florida's free summer camp for children with cancer (see campfiesta.com). In the late 80's/ early 90's I wrote and recorded 3 albums of essentially- Jewish Rock 'n Roll... and produced several music videos (see them at youtube.com/sheermusic305)... including 2006's "Kosherface", a Jewish Identity video with over 600,000 views.
