Our Mission:

Our goal at ANeustart is to help children with autism reach their full potential. We understand that to help a child reach his full potential, it’s important to give his brain and body nutrients for optimal brain function. However, every child’s nutritional needs are different. By examining the child’s urine, we can figure out what’s best for his body. We examine the urine using at-home tests that identify molecules stemming from our research. According to the urine tests, we provide personalized recommendations for supplementation. By doing so, we expect to improve developmental outcomes for the child. Early intervention with personalized care can make a big difference for thousands of children and their families.

The Urgency:

To develop ANeustart’s product, we need data and a lot of it.
So before the war, we collected 600 questionnaire responses from parents. We also started an important project with Leumit HMO in Israel to collect urine  from 100 children and analyze the compounds inside. This will add to the 100 samples we already collected and analyzed. Once we have the urine analyzed, the compounds in urine can give us information about what the child’s brain is using or losing. The urine data in large numbers of children helps us understand biological patterns in children with autism and link them to the symptoms reported by parents. By combining this information, we can predict and provide specific nutrient recommendations for children worldwide.

Without this key step of collecting big data, our goal to provide personalized solutions for these kids is delayed. Today, we’re asking for your help to raise $15,000 for this project. The whole trial costs around $50,000 (state-of-the-art urine analysis protocol costing $19K alone!), so every contribution matters! With $15,000, we can cover the costs of recruiting participants and collecting urine samples. Your support is crucial!

Funds Allocation:

Every dollar you donate will go directly to the clinical urine collection. None of your contributions will be used for administrative costs. We have already paid for various administrative approvals and insurance fees. Your contribution will be used for the clinical trial per se: doctor fees for recruiting children into the study, a research coordinator to coordinate with parents and shipping of frozen urine samples. These are necessary as part of the rigorous science needed to develop a truly effective autism treatment.

Altered brain development, like in autism, is a symphony running out of sync with a cacophony of various behavioral, metabolic, and biochemical imbalances worsened due to picky eating. These will be updated every 2 months based on repeat urine testing. ANeustart aims to shift the standard of care to include treatment for nutrient needs for children diagnosed with autism.
