Our mantra can be found on our back cover – connect with your community. All of our content is designed to make our local Jewish community just a little bit stronger by bringing them a little closer together. Whether it’s through our in-depth profiles of the unique personalities that make our community special, or our reviews of books and films with a Jewish connection, spotlighting a great new chef or restaurant worthy of recognition, publicizing and covering local community events, or sponsoring a social or cultural event, everything we do is designed with one outcome in mind – to engage, inform, and connect the Greater Long Beach Jewish community.
The Impact
Long Beach Jewish Life has effectively filled that void and, in a relatively short amount of time, our community has responded. In almost a year, we have grown our readership to more than 5,000 unique downloads each month. And when our readers download an issue of Long Beach Jewish Life, they engage with our content, spending an average of 41 minutes with us.
Over 99% of our readers are local. And that’s by design. Our hyper-local focus allows Long Beach Jewish Life to build and foster meaningful relationships throughout our community. And our broad mix of content speaks to readers in their 20s and 30s, as well as to equal numbers of readers in their 50s and 60s.
Long Beach Jewish Life’s readership is now greater than the sum of all of our local Jewish congregations combined, putting us in a position to play an important role in ensuring that the Greater Long Beach Jewish community remains the vibrant, active, and robust center of Jewish life that it has been for more than 100 years.
What Will You Do with the Money?
It will provide us with the resources to offer stipends to our writers, broaden our relationships with local and national Jewish organizations, bring in additional sponsors and advertisers, and continue introducing Long Beach Jewish Life to people throughout the Greater Long Beach Jewish community.
Your support will also enable us to expand our role and serve as a catalyst for and sponsor of exciting special events designed to connect all the parts of our community in new ways.
