The Haym Salomon Center (HSC) is the brainchild of a Catholic from Rapid City, South Dakota and a Jew from Skokie, Illinois – both Zionists, both fathers and both nonprofit journalism professionals who saw how industry changes were going to exacerbate an already anti-Israel press and raise the threat level for the Jewish people.
Thus, Jason Stverak and Paul Miller set out in 2014 to create a news organization that would report the truth about Israel, combat anti-Semitism and expose those funding Islamic terrorism and anti-Semitic activity in the United States.
Named after the Jewish hero of the American Revolutionary War, the Haym Salomon Center, in just three years, has gone from a two-person startup to an influential news organization that reaches far beyond the pro-Israel choir. Our reporters and analysts reach approximately 30 million news consumers every month. Our stories can be found in USA Today, New York Daily News, The New York Post, Forbes, Time, Fox News, The Hill and many more.
Do these stories sound familiar?
- While activists protested a pro-BDS billboard in Chicago, HSC investigated the advertising company. Hours after we exposed their pattern of running BDS ads, the company – after initially refusing to remove the ad – took it down.
- HSC exposed Black Lives Matter involvement with a Palestinian terror group.
- UC Berkeley canceled a class after HSC revealed its anti-Semitic agenda.
- HSC reporting led to the resignation of a pro-BDS professor at Dartmouth.
- HSC was the first to report that a pro-Israel female student at UC Irvine had been chased down and had to hide from a mob of Students for Justice in Palestine.
- HSC co-founder Paul Miller was the first journalist to out Roger Waters’ anti-Semitism to a national audience.
- HSC was the first news group to expose the intersectionality of far-left organizations and their anti-Israel and anti-Semitic agenda.
Not everyone is as well aware as you are that anti-Semitism and contempt for Israel are growing problems. It’s hard to know which is worse – the lack of information or the profusion of deliberate misinformation. And I believe you’ll agree that our work is impressive and important. That is why the Haym Salomon Center needs more reporters.
We must take on and report MORE stories – and that requires expanding our operation. This past year alone, the Haym Salomon Center has had over 500 bylines and citations attributed to its journalists and fellows. But we need more reporters and analysts to meet the demands of an unprecedented news cycle. We need more journalists to ensure that no act of anti-Semitism or lie about Israel and the Jewish people goes unreported.
As we begin the Jewish New Year of 5778, we ask you to join this fight! Partner with Haym Salomon Center by making a generous donation and spreading the word so we can hire more like-minded journalists who will report the truth about Israel, anti-Semitism and the threats facing Western civilization.
L’Shanah Tovah!
What people are saying about Haym Salomon Center:
“Whether we were working together to fund the Iron Dome missile system or fighting President Obama’s disastrous Iran nuclear deal, we found ourselves battling not only our political opponents, but a mainstream media determined to vilify the Jewish state, draw moral equivalency between America and terrorists, and blame the West for all that is wrong with the world. That’s why I’m grateful for the reporters and policy experts with the Haym Salomon Center. They work proactively to change the media narrative on Israel and expose anti-Semitism at home and abroad.”
– Senator Mark Kirk
“Please know that I am deeply grateful for all you wrote, and for all that you undertake generally. As a citizen of Israel, as a soldier, and as a Jew, I thank you.”
– IDF Sgt. Benjamin Anthony (Res.), Our Soldiers Speak
“The media in America and Europe refuse to acknowledge the reality of Islamic extremism. They are performing a dangerous disservice to the public and that is one of the reasons why I am grateful for the work of Paul Miller and his colleagues at the Haym Salomon Center. Nobody is exposing the anti-Semitism taking place on college campuses like they are. Their work continues to prove the BDS movement is not about improving Palestinians’ lives, but simply hating Jews and Israel. As a former radical Islamist, I can’t stress enough how important their work is.”
– Kasim Hafeez, Outreach Coordinator at Christians United for Israel (CUFI)
“The incredible team at the Haym Salomon Center is doing invaluable work exposing to the world the sad reality for far too many Jewish students…[Their work] helps campus anti-Semitism watchdog groups like mine pressure university heads to come out of hiding and protect Jewish students.”
– Tammi Rossman-Benjamin, Director of AMCHA Initiative
