The Jewish Innovation
Dear Family and Friends,
These past few weeks have been so very difficult. There is no such thing as a return to normal. Not an hour goes by that we don’t think about our precious little Yonatan and his big beautiful smile that brightened all our lives. We know that with Hashem’s help we will endure and move on. Nevertheless, it will always be our hope to find ways to incorporate Yonatan’s spirit and memory into our continuing journey.
Even during shiva, people started asking, what we are doing or would like to do to preserve Yonatan’s memory. As many of you know, our family will, IY”H, be starting a new chapter in our lives in a few weeks when we move to Yishuv Neria. Recently, the Yishuv received partial funding for a new state of the art children’s park. We have decided that the best tribute for Yonatan at this time would be to try and raise the remaining funds necessary to make this park a reality.
The plan is to break ground on the new park -“Gan Yonatan”- in two weeks as we mark the shloshim. Our sweet little Yonatan Mordechai absolutely LOVED going to the park. He could spend hours swinging back and forth with enough joy to fill the world. We are hoping that the sounds of laughter and the smiles that we will see in the park — a park dedicated to his memory, will be a source of comfort to us and all who knew and loved him.
With heartfelt appreciation,
Elisha, Peshie, Gavi, Amitai and Noam Rubin
