Your Contribution Can Give a Needy Couple Their Very First Child
The goal of this fund-raising campaign is to provide funds to the advisory PUAH Institute so that they can pay the uninsured medical and associated costs for complex fertility procedures to enable a childless couple, in their early thirties, to give birth to a healthy baby. The couple’s dire fertility situation is well known to PUAH; unfortunately, they have suffered through the heartbreak and costs of multiple failed IVF (In Vitro Fertilization) cycles over the past several years. Because of a rare chromosome disorder and other DNA-compromising issues on the part of both parents, PUAH has now recommended, working with the very best fertility experts, an IVF treatment including PGD (Preimplantation Genetic Diagnosis) and IVIg (Intravenous Immunoglobulin Therapy). To get the best technology, physicians, and procedures available, a highly-regarded and experienced IVF clinic has been selected to perform the treatments. For more detail about the medical issues and advanced treatments available, see the “Links to Supporting Information” below.
Campaign Mangement and Funding Requirements
This campaign, to raise $26,000, to enable a childless couple to give birth to a genetic-disease-free, healthy baby has been organized, promoted, and managed by the well-respected 501(c)(3) charitable organizations: the American Friends of PUAH [EIN: 11-3403453, since 1998] and the Samet Foundation [EIN: 26-3941095, since 2011]. This group is well informed and focused on the case at hand, the confidential financial and health circumstances of the needy couple, the up-to-date medical technology and treatment course required for a successful outcome, and the importance of preserving the family’s privacy. Furthermore, PUAH has significant experience and expertise in helping to advise on, monitor, and support fertility and genetic-disease-screening treatments for families in need.
Your generous, tax-deductible contributions are being processed through the American Friends of PUAH, who make treatment payments directly to the IVF clinic on behalf of the family. The cost of all the necessary IVF, laboratory, and associated logistical procedures (not covered by medical insurance) comes to approximately $26,000. — the amount we hope to raise in this important crowd-funding campaign. Any additional funds collected here will be used to support and finance other fertility projects needed by well-deserving families.
