The Jewish Innovation

When people usually hear about archaeology, they think of Indiana Jones searching for the Lost Ark. Or maybe the Pyramids, dinosaurs and maybe a great bedtime story. Those thoughts are great but we want them to think about Israel first!

We are a group of students from Bar Ilan University and participants in the StandWithUs Fellowship, an elite leadership program in public diplomacy training for Israeli university students. We wish to promote awareness about the archaeological richness that Israel offers as well as the historical connection of the Jewish people to the biblical land of Israel.

DigIsrael provides a “journey through time” in Israel, at crossroads of civilization throughout history.

DigIsrael has selected eight leading journalists and bloggers from around the world, and invited them to take part in a unique five day tour of Israel’s most fascinating, prominent and exclusive antiquities. The participants will meet with field researchers, participate in ongoing excavations and partake in local cultural activities.

The Impact

Imagine that one of the top bloggers from Singapore with 500,000 unique visitors per month will write about the unique atmosphere of Jerusalem. Or that a radio broadcaster from Hungary with 100,000 regular listeners every week will hear about her incredible experience in Tel Aviv. Or that a reporter for About.com’s romantic travel section, with 2 million readers, will write about seeing the sunrise at Masada.

Well…they will! On September 9th, these eight global influencers will arrive in Israel and you can be part of making their experience unforgettable.

What Will You Do with the Money?

We already raised enough money to cover the flights, the transportation and part of the hotel costs. But we still need more funding and we believe creating a DigIsrael community on Jewcer will push us to meet our goal.

We at DigIsrael need your help to fund:
Food Expenses: $150
Tour Guide: $350
Attractions & Excavation site visits: $500

All the money funded by jewcers will go directly to the DigIsrael tour and help us put Israel on the map for global archaeological adventure tourists!
