CTOW: Counting the Omer Within
A Journey of Creative Healing and Spiritual Exploration
Counting the Omer is a Jewish practice that involves counting the days from Passover to Shavuot. It is a time of reflection, growth, and spiritual development. Counting the Omer Within is a 49-day journey that uses this practice as a framework for personal growth and creativity. This program is based on aspects of the “Artists Way”, Spirituality practice, which encourages people to tap into their creativity as a means of self-discovery and personal growth. It invites participants to reflect on the purposeful people they meet along their life’s journey, recognizing that no one is ever a coincidence. Through daily prompts, reflections, and meditations, participants are invited to explore their inner selves and connect with the divine. The journey is meant to be both introspective and communal, as participants are encouraged to share their experiences and insights with others. But why only 49 days? When we go through transitions in our life we can utilize this ritual and connection to ourself through this lens. Have you ever done this before? Well, I have. As a Jewish woman, I have personally experienced the struggle to find meaning and purpose in my work and spiritual life. I believe that many women and younger generations are struggling to connect with their Judaism in a way that is authentic, deep, and empowering. Time and time again, I have witnessed burnout and disconnection among my peers, which has only been exacerbated by the ongoing pandemic. We need this now, more than ever. We need more guidance and support to help us when we’re going though such a time of transition, uncertainty and changes in our world, life, and career.
