We are finally ready to record Chavera Nevarech Volume IV! I really believe this could be our best collection of music yet. I’ve been sharing these pieces in my travels to communities around the country, and I can’t wait to really get it out into the world in earnest.
We are going to be returning to my first Los Angeles community, Temple Beth Am, to record this new album live in their beautiful new in-the-round sanctuary. Making Chaverai Nevarech volumes 1-3 taught us so much about how to create this kind of musical magic and capture it in the best possible way. I truly believe that we have set a new standard for recording Jewish music in America and I am so proud of that. We hope to build on this success and at the same time elevate this new music even more. The new album will be jam-packed with eleven new songs for communal singing. As you might have come to expect, there are melodies for Shabbat, holidays, weddings and more, including melodies for texts that have rarely (or never) had new melodies before!
I have an amazing team in place to work on the music, arrangements, audio production and video production, and the musicians themselves are the best in the business and also very dear friends. Now we’re just working on the funding to put it all together. To maintain the caliber of excellence people have come to expect, we need to raise a significant amount of funding.
