Why Jewish music?
Jewish music touches our hearts and uplifts our souls. New Jewish music gives us a steady source of fresh, soulful tunes that we all share, and that fill our stereos, Shabbos tables, Lecha Dodis, weddings, and kumzitzes. This track, Gam Ki Elech, is an original original English song about how God is there for us in difficult times.
Why crowdfunding?
Listeners have always shared the cost of producing new music by purchasing the album. But now, with music streaming and YouTube, people don’t buy enough albums to cover artists’ costs. Crowdfunding is a way to bring the listeners back into the mix to share the cost of producing the music they love.
Why this project?
For over 20 years, I have channeled my deepest spiritual joys, passions, and yearning into my compositions. But what I’ve really hoped for was to share them with other Jews so that they can also sing those songs hopefully be touched by them like I was. After playing some of my compositions for my old friend, Ari Goldwag, the hit singer (Lo Nafsik Lirkod, Koh Ribon, see player below) and composer (Am Echad, Ivri Anochi) asked to record one of them together on his upcoming album and release it as single.
