Help Send Jewish Student Leaders to the ASHA Convention

We are raising funds to support six inspiring Jewish undergraduate and graduate students so they may be able to attend the ASHA Convention in Washington DC from November 19 to 22, 2025.

Four of these students have served for the past year as Jewish Caucus interns, showing deep commitment, creativity, and leadership. At the convention, all six will be vital members of our team. They will:

  • Support the Jewish Caucus exhibit booth
  • Assist with in person events
  • Manage social media outreach
  • Help with set up and clean up
  • Build connections with fellow Jewish SLPs, AUDs and related professionals
  • Connect with fellow Jewish students

As we say in Jewish tradition, Ldor Vador, from generation to generation , let’s pass down knowledge, values, and leadership. By supporting these students, you are helping to nurture the next generation of Jewish professionals and advocates. Let’s give them a chance to represent their Jewish identity with pride in the field of communication sciences and disorders, and to grow as leaders.

We hope to raise enough to cover the basic costs for each student:

  • Registration
  • Housing for three nights, with two students sharing a room
  • ASHA Eats Cards

With your support, we can make sure that cost is not a barrier to participation.

These students have already given so much of their time and passion. Now we have a chance to give back, and to lift them up as they carry our work forward.

Every donation helps. Thank you for helping us Speak Up and Stand Proud.

No amount is too small.

Thank you for helping us Speak Up and Stand Proud

ASHA Jewish Caucus
DC, USA

My name is Michelle Posner, and I am a speech-language pathologist and one of the founders of the ASHA Jewish Caucus, where I currently serve as president. I launched this group in late 2023, in response to the alarming rise in antisemitism within our profession and the silence from our national association. I knew we needed a space where Jewish professionals and students could feel seen, supported, and proud of their identity. The ASHA Jewish Caucus is now an officially recognized Multicultural Constituency Group affiliated with the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA). While we are not formally part of ASHA, we are listed on their website and serve as an organized voice for Jewish members in the fields of speech-language pathology and audiology. We are still in the early stages of growth. We do not yet have nonprofit status or collect dues. Every event and initiative we’ve hosted has either been sponsored or paid for personally. But despite these limitations, we have built an incredibly committed network, including six student interns who have volunteered their time and energy to support our work. This fundraiser is about them. With your help, we can send these students to the ASHA Convention in Washington DC this November, where they will help run our exhibit booth, support in-person events, and serve as powerful advocates for Jewish representation. Thank you for taking the time to learn about us. Your support means the world and truly helps us Speak Up and Stand Proud.
