Refugee Serving Organizations

Refugees have fled their home countries due to conflict and terror, leaving behind everything they know in the hopes of finding security in an unfamiliar place. Refugees are vetted more than any other group of travelers to the U.S. San Diego has resettled over 82,000 refugees since 1975 and more than 1,000 Syrian refugees have arrived in San Diego County since May 2016. “Welcome the stranger” and stand with refugees this Passover by supporting these three organizations. Your impact will be doubled by a Leichtag Foundation matching grant!

The Leichtag Foundation honors the legacy of Lee and Toni Leichtag through igniting and inspiring vibrant Jewish life, advancing self-sufficiency and stimulating social entrepreneurship in coastal North San Diego County and Jerusalem. Since its inception in 1991, the Leichtag Foundation has granted over $111 million to 391 different organizations. Of this amount, over $96 million has been granted since becoming independent in late 2007. About 23% has stayed in Encinitas.
