Why Jerusalem?

Jerusalem is a lab for social entrepreneurship and vibrant social change. The city has become a hub for young people fighting to reclaim and renew an entrepreneurial Jerusalem. We believe the intensity and diversity that many point to negatively for Jerusalem is actually the cityís foremost advantage.

Four Areas to Make Impact in Jerusalem

Bridging the Gaps: Organizations such as 0202 reduce gaps between different communities in Jerusalemócritical and uplifting to one of the most diverse cities on the globe. The interface helps promote understanding and empathy but also turns this diversity into a creative driver rather than a detractor.

Economic Development: Organizations such as Temech generate demand and develop the cityís workforce ñ cultivating the future technological and bio-technological human capital of the city. Efforts propel residents with a special focus on one of the most unique and opportunistic population segmentsóUltra Orthodox womenóthrough coworking space, employer readiness and placement in careers in the high-tech sector so women can earn a living wage.

Education: Organizations such as Bishvil provide multi-faceted education, which is Jerusalemís most valuable strategic asset. Traditional education and complementary volunteer programs enhance learning and reverberate to impact the wider community. Education constitutes the primary engine for social mobility in the city and increasing diversity and pluralism.

Culture and a Creative Community: Culture bridges activism in powerful ways in a city like Jerusalem. New Spirit builds young communities, dramatically improves quality of life and helps support vibrant, engaging and cutting-edge culture in the city.
