Brain research shows that children develop cognitive, social and emotional skills through movement, and today’s kids are not moving enough! This compounds the notorious reputation Hebrew School often has for being BORING. Jewish parents and educators NEED access to quality, interactive Jewish educational products which engage the whole child, get them moving and reflect Jewish values. What?
Shalom Kids Yoga (SKY) Creation Cards are a unique Jewish educational product which engages the whole child: mind, body and neshama (soul).
When playing with the Shalom Kids Yoga Creation Cards, the young and the “young at heart” play with a deck of 54 jumbo cards including:
32 Yoga poses, Hebrew words and poems that parallel the six days of Creation and Shabbat
7 Age-appropriate meditations
7 Breathing practices to relax and renew
8 Fun games and activities
Where?
Shalom Kids Yoga Creation Cards can be used for fun and educational purposes in: homes, Hebrew schools, day schools, camps, and synagogues. Children can play alone or with friends, and teachers can use them as a teaching aid in their classrooms. Shalom Kids Yoga Creation Cards are excellent for family bonding and can get parent and child learning Jewish content TOGETHER.
Who?
The Shalom Kids Yoga Creation Cards target children ages 3-9, but are fun and educational for all ages!
How?
Shalom Kids Yoga Creation Cards are divided into seven sections that parallel the six days of Creation and Shabbat. Each day is color coded, and on the front of each card you will find a fun illustration with its corresponding name in English and Hebrew. On the flip side you will discover its corresponding icon and a poem to recite when practicing. Additionally, each day comes with an age-appropriate meditation/visualization, breathing practice and game or activity. Included in the deck is a complete transliteration and the Creation story in a “nutshell.”
What will I do with your kind support?
The Shalom Kids Yoga Creation Cards are complete and ready to print! I have spent $2,000, and an incalculable number of hours bringing the Shalom Kids Yoga Creation Cards this far. I am asking for $10,500 to cover the costs of printing, production, shipping and marketing. I will be working with QPC Games and the cost of printing 1000 decks (including the cards, box, insert and shipping) is $10, 310. Please help me bring this singular Jewish educational product to market so together we can help to educate the whole Jewish child: body, mind and neshama (soul)!
