WE’VE REACHED OUR GOAL, NOW LET’S SEND A MESSAGE!

We have been in touch with the NEHM and they are humbled by the outpouring of support from the Jewcer community, and this will help not only restore the damage, but expand their anti-bigotry education programs, too!

So while the glass will now be restored, this is our chance to do more—to show that we will bounce back stronger, and teach more people about the dangers of bigotry, so that one day we can truly say NEVER AGAIN!

The New England Holocaust Memorial in Boston has been vandalized for the second time this summer.

Glass was shattered all over when a rock was thrown last night (Aug 14th at 7:00pm) through the memorial’s glass panels. The panels are etched with the millions of numbers that represent tattoos on the arms of many Jews sent to Nazi death camps.

A statement from the Combined Jewish Philanthropies (CJP) was put out this morning:

“We are appalled and saddened that the New England Holocaust Memorial was vandalized Monday night for the second time in just 6 weeks. The images of Nazis marching in the streets of America over the weekend in Charlottesville and now shattered glass once again at this sacred space in Boston are an affront to our Jewish community and to all those who stand-up against bigotry, hatred and anti-Semitism. We thank the Boston Police and the Public Works Department for their rapid response and for their continuing support during this difficult time. We will remain resilient and will have a timeline for rebuilding the memorial once we have assessed the damage.”

Here at Jewcer we want to ensure that the rebuilding process happens ASAP. We cannot allow antisemitism to bring us down.

Every dollar donated will go directly to the New England Holocaust Memorial through CJP. Jewcer is waiving its fees for this campaign.

Help us help them! Together, we will demonstrate our resilience in the face of hate—and send a message to all who think that fear and intimidation of any group can accomplish their vile goals.
