The Jewish Innovation
Our IDF soldiers today face a great challenge – “business as usual”. Ideals of establishing a new country has been long forgotten and soldiers today are not sure that understand what they are fighting for. They are in a constant and daily search after their Jewish identity. We hear more and more demand for Torah and Judaism scholars to come and speak with the soldiers, inspire and reconnect them with their Jewish identity.
Our scholars, come to the soldiers at their point of action, in the army base to spend Shabbat with them, recite the Kiddush, sing Shabbat songs together, and speak with the soldiers about core Jewish values such as unity, friendship, honor and more. For the soldiers it is like a cool breeze on a hot day in the dessert.
We encourage sponsors to take action and send treats for the Soldiers along with our Scholar. These treats will be enjoyed over a Shabbat Oneg. This way we show the soldiers we care about their “body & soul”!

The Impact
The IDF soldiers and commanders are ultimately the next generation of the leaders of our nation. These are the men and women that will march our nation into the next era of leadership, especially the commanders! It is extremely important for these young men and women to have no doubts or second thoughts about who they are or what they are doing here. We often hear about massive waves of young IDF graduates who fly to the far east, Europe or the US to “find themselves”. Why shouldn’t we help them do just that, right here!
What Will You Do with the Money?
Money raised from this project will go directly towards funding Shabbatot in army bases with the IDF soldiers. Each Shabbat involves sending a scholar along with his family to the base “equipped” with yummy treats for the soldiers! The cost for 1 Shabbat is $500, and the scholar would usually visit a base with 500-700 IDF soldiers(!!!). That’s practically a buck per soldier(!!!). The program runs in IDF bases all around Israel from Eilat to Hermon, from Gaza to Jordan!
