UPDATE
Wow! We reached our initial goal in less than 24 hours and the support just keeps flooding in. We have the resources to do so much more than we originally planned thanks to all your help.
With any extra funds that are collected, we are going to look into putting up signs to direct people to her corner, to work with Google Maps and Waze so people can simply search for it and get accurate directions, purchasing a large canopy, setting up a small self-watering garden, and increasing the size of the corner and everything inside accordingly. Any ideas are welcome, and every penny raised will go into making this even more special.
Family and friends,
I moved to Israel with 15 other lone soldiers and Mica two years ago, to live together, join the IDF, and become warriors of Israel and the Jewish faith. She was one of the strongest women I’ve met, from the day I met her she had her mind set on giving her all to this nation. Mica fought a long battle and pushed through so many obstacles to get to combat and the squad commander course, and nobody was a better match than her. We became such a close knit family, and losing Mica has been the hardest part of this journey for all of us and for her family and friends across the world.
To honor her sacrifice and everything she loved, our group is planning a monument at the Jordan River where we loved to go relax after long weeks in the army. We sat together and laughed and enjoyed every second there, playing backgammon, drinking coffee, swinging from the ropes, and jumping from the trees. This place was very special to her, and symbolizes her passion and love of nature, friends, and making people smile.
Our plan for “Mica’s corner” is to lay down a cement foundation, arrange several benches and a small table, and a stand to mount a painting of Mica and to commission a metal sign with her name and her story. This corner will become a place where friends, family, and travellers from all over the world can pass through, make coffee and play games, and learn about her spirit and how amazing she was.
Any help would be appreciated, we want it to be a beautiful testament to the impact she had on all of us and the more communities and organizations we can get involved the more we will be able to accomplish.
Any money collected will be handled by Garin Tzabar, but rest assured every dollar or shekel goes straight towards the project and honoring Micas memory.
For more details about Mica, Garin Tzabar, and lone soldiers feel free to reach out at any time.

We are planning an opening ceremony for Friday November 29, 2019 at the Yardenit, and will be inviting her parents and siblings from America. If anyone knows of any organizations or agencies that would be willing to help cover their flight expenses please get in touch with me at bearjew464@gmail.com.
I want to thank you all again so much for your support, this project will serve to honor Mica and all she stood for and it wouldn’t have happened without every single one of you. Please stay tuned for updates and more information on the opening ceremony. God bless you all, and if you have any questions or ideas for the corner please reach out to me!
