Have you ever dreamed of producing a movie that could make a real change in how people define success and meaning in their lives? A film that could help shift the way the world relates to Judaism, highlight the struggle for self-understanding, and explore what it means to fight for what you believe in? By joining our team, YOU will be doing just that. You will become a producer on our film, MASTER OF RETURN.
By joining our team, you will help share a resonant, meaningful story with the potential to reach audiences across the globe, challenging people to think about their identity, purpose in life, and Judaism as a whole. You will help audiences step outside themselves and open the doors to exciting dialogue about the Jewish approach to the search for meaning in the world today.
THE STORY: MASTER OF RETURN — A short film
Based on a true story, MASTER OF RETURN explores one millennial’s struggle for success and search for meaning. This short film is set between two starkly contrasting worlds: an Orthodox Rabbinical Court of Law and a drug deal gone awry. In the present, Avi is in a psychological battle with three ultra-orthodox rabbis who hold the key to his uncertain Jewish future. In the not-so-distant past, Avi is revealed as a major drug dealer caught in the middle when his crew loses hundreds of thousands of dollars by betraying his strict rules of the trade.
A dialogue-heavy world of the present battles against the silent, action-driven world of the past, allowing audiences to peer into the mystifying process of an Orthodox Jewish conversion while exploring the dark reality of a contradictory millennial world.
MASTER OF RETURN is a story of power, identity, and redemption in our postmodern millennial world.

FUNDING
We believe that great short films can be made on magically low budgets. That said, we still need a few things to create the caliber of film you will be helping to produce. These include:
- Equipment — Lighting packages, a high-end cinema camera, sound equipment, and a grip truck to carry everything
- Publicity & Distribution — Film festival submissions, social media marketing, etc.
- Props & Wardrobe
- Cast & Crew — We strongly believe that all of our cast and crew should be paid for their talent, time, and energy. Our team is passionate about joining this project and is offering their services at a significantly reduced cost.
- Post production — Soundtrack/music, sound design, color correction, and editing. As they say — “films are made in post!”
- Travel expenses, food, etc.
All proceeds of this film and fund-raising will go directly into production-related expenses.
